We
are still waiting for final guidance from NICE this month and as
soon as we have news will put it on the website.
As you will read in the
Sentinel,
now that Herceptin is likely to be widely available on the NHS from
September, we have decided to donate £58,000 to help cancer
sufferers at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
We hope to raise
a lot more money than we have, and the Dot Griffiths Breast Cancer
Appeal Fund will be out and about hosting various events. We
want to raise a lot more money so every penny can go towards that
hospital.
We are a local charity for local people, and all our
money will go towards cancer patients.
The fund has helped
fund the drug privately for those ladies who couldn't get it on the NHS during the campaign.
Our gratitude will be with you always
for your overwhelming generosity with the fund raising.
Thank
you all so very very much.
